Dr Joseph Block joined in 1955 and Cecil Meltz's practice merged in during 1965, and the name went through Lovius Block Meltz & Cowan and Lovius Block Meltz Steyn & Yazbek before being cut back. The firm became an incorporated company in 2019 and now fills 31 and 33 First Avenue in Westdene. The directors are Charl Stander (admitted 1984, conveyancer, heads estates and commercial work), managing director Duncan Murray (admitted 2012) and Uyleta Nel-Marais (admitted 2016, conveyancer and notary). Peter Yazbek, admitted in 1973 and managing partner until 2020, stays on as a consultant heading High Court and appeal work.
