He began as a professional assistant at Webber Wentzel in Johannesburg, then worked as legal adviser and corporate finance manager at Finansbank, executive consultant at Nedbank Investment Bank, head of corporate finance at Trans Atlantic Securities and a corporate finance director at PSG Capital. He holds a BA (Law) from Stellenbosch, a BCompt from UNISA and an LLB from the University of Cape Town. The practice moved from Stellenbosch to Middelson Farm on Winterhoek Road outside Tulbagh in 2020.
